Elgin OPP are investigating after a body was found west of Little Beach in Port Stanley Tuesday morning.

No foul play is suspected and it appears the male was fishing as equipment was found nearby.

Police say the body was discovered about 10:30 a.m. by people walking along the rock wall.

It is believed the man is in his mid-60s and that he was fishing along the rocks. The man’s identification was also found at the scene.

A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

“It doesn’t appear the body washed up. We’re trying to determine whether it was a medical condition or something else," says Const. Troy Carlson.
