OPP are asking for the public's help after the discovery of a body on a Lake Huron beach north of Port Albert last weekend.
A witness tells CTV News that people walking on the beach found the body at 11:30 Saturday morning on the shore, between Maple-Cedar Grove Road and Mid Huron Beach Road.
The deceased person was reported to be wearing a life jacket.
Police would like to speak with anyone that may have recently found an abandoned vessel or related marine/sporting equipment along the Lake Huron shoreline.
This includes kayaks, canoes, fishing boats, sailboats, kiteboards, paddleboards, personal watercraft, inflatable rafts, dinghies and any other marine related items.
It’s unknown how long the body had been there or in the water.
Any findings over the last month should be reported to police.
Anyone with information should call Huron OPP Crime Unit at (519) 524-8314 or 1-888-310-1122.
