London police have charged a London man with numerous child pornography offences after the man was allegedly sharing images of a four-year-old girl on a Russian website.
Local police were notified on Wednesday by the Queensland Police Service in Australia about the images of the child, who resides in London, being shared.
The London police Internet Child Exploitation Unit collaborated with the Queensland Police in an investigation and executed a search warrant at a residence in London on Thursday,
A mobile phone and computer devices were seized at the residence.
A 40-year-old man has been charged with:
- 3 counts of Unlawfully possess child pornography
- 2 counts of Make child pornography
- 2 counts of Make available child pornography
- 2 counts of Voyeurism
- 2 counts of Make available Voyeuristic recording
The accused in this matter is not being identified to protect the identity of the victim, police said.
He was held in custody and was appearing in court Friday.
The young child was not physically injured and was provided the appropriate support from victim services and family.
