Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Monday that encompasses most of southern Ontario.
It includes London-Middlesex, Oxford, Brant, Sarnia-Lambton, Elgin, Huron-Perth and Grey-Bruce.
The weather agency says the storm will begin Monday afternoon.
The system from Texas will cause snow, ice pellets, and blowing snow to develop Monday afternoon then change to freezing rain Monday evening.
Winds are expected to gust to 70 km/h.
Freezing rain will persist several hours before changing to rain overnight.
Poor travel conditions will develop Monday afternoon and continue into Monday night.
