The London Fire Department attended the scene of a structure fire at Commissioners Road and Highland Heights.

Fire crews reported heavy flames, and smoke could be seen billiowing from the rear of the property.

London fire indicated that they were switching from offensive operations (attmepting to extinguish the fire) to defensive operations (containing a fire to prevent it from spreading to other buildings or structures). This is done when a fire has become too large or dangerous to directly fight, or when it is unsafe for firefighters and there are no civillian lives to be saved. This strategy can result in loss of the structure.
