Blue Water Bridge workers will be undergoing strike training next week.

The move comes as a Thursday deadline passed, meaning the union or the employer can give a 72-hour notice at any time, triggering the countdown for a strike or a lockout.

The 47 workers, represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada, are preparing for a possible strike or lockout with training beginning Tuesday.

The workers include maintenance and currency exchange personnel.

The last collective agreement expired in November of 2014.
