St. Peter’s Seminary is getting a financial boost thanks to the Diocese of Hamilton.
The diocese has announced a $2-million endowment for St. Peter’s, which will be used to fund a faculty chair in Catholic Moral Theology and Social Justice. The funds will be split into $500,000 installments over four years.
“The Diocese of Hamilton has benefitted greatly because of the service of our priests who have studied at St. Peter's and we are pleased to be supporting such an exciting initiative,” said Bishop Douglas Crosby.
Since 1912, more than 1,100 priest and deacons have been ordained after studying at St. Peter’s.
