Stratford police are asking for public help to locate a brazen shoplifter who allegedly walked out of a grocery store with over $4,000 in merchandise.
Officers were called to the Sobeys on Huron Street in Stratford just after 9 a.m. on Thursday for a report of a theft.
Police say a woman entered the store, filled a shopping cart with items and then left without paying.
The total value of the stolen merchandise is estimated at over $4,000 and included meat, baby formula, chewing gum and other grocery items.
According to police, the woman spent a long time in the store and appeared "calm and well-organized."
A vehicle with another occupant was reportedly waiting for the woman outside.
