London police have issued a warning after reports of a suspicious male in the area of the walking/bike path from the Guy Lombardo Museum and footbridge from Springbank Park to the Thames Valley Golf Course.
Two separate incidents were reported between 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Sunday by women in the area.
The first reported seeing a male wandering the parking lot at the Guy Lombardo Museum who then followed her for a short distance.
He then allegedly made an inappropriate comment to her before going into the treed area off the path. The woman immediately left the area and contacted police.
In a second incident, a woman says she first saw a male walking on the bike path in Springbank Park between the foot bridge at the Thames Valley Golf Course and the parking lot by the Guy Lombardo bridge.
He then reportedly began to follow her across the foot bridge toward the golf course. In the area of MacKellar Avenue, she was allegedly grabbed from behind in an inappropriate manner.
She was not injured, and saw the man running away toward the foot bridge.
Police believe the incidents are related and are encouraging females to be vigilant and consider not walking alone at night.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 20 years old, 5'8" to 6' tall, clean shaven with a slim build.
He was wearing dark-coloured pants, a dark-coloured shirt and a dark baseball cap, and carrying a black phone with black earbuds in both ears.
