A 63-year-old man has died after his car collided with a piece of farm machinery in Bayham.
Elgin County OPP officers have identified the man as Alan James Hollywell of Port Burwell.
The crash took place just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Nova Scotia Line, near Richmond Road.
OPP say a John Deere tractor pulling a piece of farm machinery was travelling east on Nova Scotia Line, when a westbound Chrysler 300 collided with the machinery.
After hitting the equipment, the car then went into the south ditch and struck a hydro pole.
Police say lone occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor, a 17-year-old male from Bayham, was uninjured.
A post mortem examination has been scheduled for Friday.
Police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
