Police are continuing to search for the body of 18-year-old William Johnston of London, who went missing Thursday afternoon after swimming in Lake Erie off the shores of the main beach in Port Stanley.
Police said on Saturday that their efforts to find him continue after an all-day search Friday was unsuccessful.
Members of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) Trenton, the Elgin County and Chatham Kent OPP Marine Units, the United States Coast Guard, Ornge and OPP divers have all helped in the search.
OPP want the public to know that they have closed the Port Stanley pier for the day Saturday as recovery efforts continue.
