Huron OPP are hoping the public will recognize the man in a pair of photos who was found dead on a beach near Port Albert earlier this month.
A body was found washed up on the shore on Oct. 8.
Police say a journalist working in northern Ontario had captured photos of the victim near Espanola Ontario in September.
It was further determined that the victim was traveling from Alberta to Ontario under the assumed name of “Mitchell Nelson”.
Police are asking help from the public in identifying the proper name of the victim.
He is described as white, average to medium build, balding with grey hair and a thin moustache.
Police say he is approximately 30-60 years old.
He was wearing a blue “Fluid” life jacket with a black fleece type pullover/jacket with black wind pants with letter “PEP” on a shield and black Nike running shoes.
