Thirty firefighters battled a stubborn barn blaze southwest of Milverton Wednesday night.
About $350,000 in damage was done when the beef barn went up in flames shortly after 9 p.m., but the farmer was able to save 38 cattle in the barn.
Crews from three fire stations used an aerial truck and five tankers to battle the blaze which ended up destroying three buildings including the main barn.
No one was injured and Perth East Fire Chief William Hunter says the blaze was under control by 11p.m.
It’s believed the fire was electrical in nature.
