The Huron County Health Unit has issued a no swimming advisory for Rotary Cove Beach in Goderich.
They say recent water samples have shown high levels of bacteria that “may” pose a risk to human health.
The health unit suggests no one swim at Rotary Cove until the advisory is lifted.
Subsequent water samples will be taken and when bacteria counts return to acceptable levels, the beach will be reopened for swimming.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t go swimming in Goderich this weekend.
St.Christopher’s and the Main Beach just a hundred metres up the coastline in Goderich are both open for swimming.
