Hundreds of people welcomed NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair at a rally in London on Thursday evening as part of his eight-day tour of Ontario.
At the 'London Rally for Change,' he promised to put a stop to the end of door-to-door delivery being implemented by Canada Post.
Mulcair added, "With just a handful more seats, we will defeat Stephen Harper and build the Canada of our dreams."
He also praised the work of London-Fanshawe NDP MP Irene Mathyssen, who spoke before him.
Mulcair is travelling around the province this week on a tour that has much the same feel as being on the campaign trail.
The eight-day event is designed to showcase his team, his policies and to build on his party’s recent momentum in the polls.
On Thursday afternoon the NDP leader visited the Refined Fools Brewery before arriving in London for the evening rally.
The tour is meant to heavily target ridings the NDP believes it can steal away from the Conservatives.
Along the way, Mulcair is also expected to talk up some of the policies he's been rolling out over the past year on child care, small businesses, agriculture, infrastructure and public transit.
