An image taken from surveillance video has been released as police search for a suspect in a restaurant robbery.

Officers were called to a robbery at the Subway restaurant at 1030 Adelaide St. N. just before 5 a.m. on Dec. 12.

Police say a lone male entered the location and demanded cash before fleeing with an undetermined amount of money. No one was injured.

Investigators believe the robbery is related to an attempted robbery at the same location around 3:20 a.m. on Dec. 21 and say the same suspect reportedly entered and demanded money but fled before he got anything.

No one was injured in the second incident either.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 years old, 160-190 pounds, with a thin build, blue eyes and a deep voice.

He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket, dark toque, dark jogging pants, dark shoes, black gloves and a grey scarf.

Anyone with information is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
