The London Police Service is increasing fees for some services after an analysis of costs during the budget planning process.
Some of the changes include doubling the cost of crash reconstruction reports from $1,200 to $3,000 and increasing the local criminal records check fee from $5 to $50.
Police say there are numerous requests for information and reports that impact the workload of various staff. The evaluation was undertaken to ensure administrative cost recovery for those services.
Some rates have stayed the same. Fees for police criminal record checks for employment remains at $40 and $10 for volunteers.
The fee for special paid duty for vehicles per hour decreased from $30 to $20.
The fee for service is updated on an annual basis as part of the budget process to ensure appropriate cost recovery and will be reflected in the operating budget.
