Despite a recent Health Canada study citing no adverse health effects to those living within hearing distance of wind turbine noise, anti-wind advocates are pressing ahead with legal action.
Tom Melady of Huron East Against Turbines says several citizens groups opposed to turbine construction will move ahead with an appeal under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Melady says the Health Canada study is not a real reflection of what is happening in rural Ontario.
The wind turbine appeal argues the rights of Ontario residents were infringed upon under the province's Green Energy Act.
