OWEN SOUND, Ont. -- A human trafficking trial in Owen Sound, Ont., has ended with the accused pleading guilty to two lesser charges.
Owen Sound police alleged David D'Souza had forced a 17-year-old girl into prostitution for several months in 2014, and used threats and intimidation to control her.
D'Souza, 27, went to trial last week on 13 charges, including human trafficking, living off the avails of prostitution and making child pornography.
He entered guilty pleas Tuesday on charges of corrupting morals, and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
D'Souza will be sentenced Nov. 28.
