Howick residents could see 27 per cent tax increase

The residents of a community about 80 kilometres northwest of Kitchener might be in for a big tax increase this year.

Staff in Howick have compiled a 2015 budget that will see taxes go up a whopping 27 per cent.

Council has also discussed the possibility of 25 per cent tax increases for the next three to four years.

The township lost 16 per cent of its municipal partnership funding ahead of this budget process.
