After a weekend of more manageable temperatures, southwestern Ontario is about to get hot and sticky again.
A hot humid air mass from the Gulf of Mexico is heading towards the region on Tuesday and will last through Thursday.
As a result Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for southern Ontario from Windsor-Essex, to Muskoka, and over through the Ottawa Valley.
Temperatures will range from 30-33 degrees Tuesday with humidex values around 40 degrees.
Environment Canada says Heat Warnings are likely to be issued later Monday.
Even the nights will feel muggy with temperatures in the low 20s.
Temperatures are expected to level off by Friday.
