Huron OPP say a 14-year-old girl involved in a drowning accident at the YMCA pool in Goderich has died in hospital.
According to police, Sarah Henry-Mills of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township died on Monday.
Provincial police and paramedics were called to the pool on Suncoast Drive East around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Henry-Mills was unresponsive after being pulled from the deep end of the pool by lifeguards.
Emergency life-saving procedures were started and she was transported to a Goderich hospital before being airlifted to London.
Huron OPP continue to investigate the case, and the Goderich-Huron YMCA pool has been closed until a review of the incident is completed.
