Questions are being raised about whether taxpayer dollars should be used to fund “DALE-TV.”
Ward 9 Councillor Dale Henderson used his expense account to pay for high tech equipment to record and air his show.
Councillor Nancy Branscombe is one of those condemning the $7,000 expenditure.
“DALE-TV” debuted in February on Henderson’s YouTube account and since that time he’s produced nine videos which outline his views on government issues.
Henderson has said he will probably keep the video equipment and other items purchased with taxpayer money after he’s no longer councillor.
The Corporate Services Committee was told by the City Clerk that the expenditure appears to fall within the rules set out for councillor expenditures.
