It was a night not soon to be forgotten as hundreds of fans gathered to take in the Green Carpet at of the CCMA’s in London.
Among those to walk the carpet and say hello to the fans were Jason Blaine, Lindsay Ell, Chad Brownlee, Jess Moskaluke, and Male Artist of the Year Brett Kissel.
“There have been some pretty crazy things that I’ve signed over the last few days,” says Kissel when asked about the passion of the fans.
“One lady brought up her baby and said please autograph my baby, and that was a first. I said I won’t on the skin but I signed on his cute little onesie.”
Kissel also named fan favourite at the awards.
The CCMA’s wrapped up Country Music in Week in London which saw thousands of people hit the downtown core for various events and concernts.
The event was expected to generate at least $8-million in economic revenue for the city and its businesses.
Other winners last night included Gord Bamford for Album of Year, Jess Moskaluke for Female Artist of Year, and High Valley for Group of Year.
Dean Brody took home Single of the Year for Bring Down the House, and finally Washboard Union was named Rising Star.
The CCMA’s will be held in Saskatoon next year.
