The London Police Service continues to investigate, but charges have been laid in a fatal collision on Wellington Road early Wednesday.
Police say a single motor vehicle left the roadway near Whetter Avenue striking the front porch of a home and a wooden hydro pole just after midnight.
A female passenger in the car was ejected as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead in hospital.
She has been identified by police as 57-year-old Brenda Tawse of London.
Robert Lloyd, 43, of London has been charged with impaired driving causing death in connection with the crash.
Wellington Road from Base Line Road to Grand Avenue was closed for much of the morning, but has mostly re-opened to traffic after repairs were done to the hydro pole.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have information related to the investigation is asked to call the Traffic Management Unit at 519-661-5680.
