A 17-year-old Central Huron male was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries on Sunday following what police are calling a mishap with a tractor.
Huron County emergency responders were called to a farm on Moncrieff Road at 11 a.m. for reports of an injured male that had been run over by a tractor.
Police say the male had been picking rocks in a cultivated field when he fell off of a moving tractor and the tractor then reversed on top of him.
Two neighbours observed the out of control tractor and immediately responded. They were able to control the tractor and provide first aid until emergency crews arrived.
The injured teen remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
