Blizzards and snowsqualls to roll through the region today
Blizzard and snow squall warnings have rolled across much of southern Ontario, with up to 15 cm expected today, and blowing snow reducing visibility on roadways.
“Flurries will arrive for Thursday morning,” warned CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “By the afternoon there will be some nice breaks of sunshine, but gusty winds will keep conditions in the area very chilly and then -5C for your Friday with lots of sunshine.”
Heading into Friday, less accumulation is projected, however, temperatures are expected to remain cold.
“It will be overcast on Saturday. The next weather system moving in will come in from the south with some rainfall on Sunday,” said Atchison.
Temperatures are projected to climb heading into the weekend and into next week.
