Beer can maker's employees picket outside Labatt

Striking employees of one of the world's largest beer can manufacturer picketed outside Labatt Breweries Thursday in London.

Employees of Crown Holdings in Toronto went on strike last September, citing Crown's demands for massive concessions, including a two-tiered job structure.

The workers say Crown has hired replacement workers to supply customers such as Labatt rather than negotiate.

The striking Crown employees are members of the United Steelworkers.
