Londoners will have more access to classical music following the introduction Monday of Rebel Heart Collective.
The collective's mission, announced at the Aeolian Hall, is to provide concerts and in some cases, free admission, to promote classical music.
The Rebel Heart Collective will start with a string quartet made up of professional musicians. It will also incorporate Western University students and youngsters from Aeolian's El Sistema program.
The plan is to play four annual concerts, mixed with classical and popular music. There will be improptu community performances prior to the main concert, which will see half its tickets go to the public for free.
