A whisky bottle containing ashes was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Simcoe, Ont.
Norfolk County OPP say the theft occurred last Friday, as the vehicle was parked on the road, outside a property on Campbell Avenue.
Somebody allegedly opened a door to the vehicle, then removed cash and a purple velvet Crown Royal bag.
What they may not have realized is that the bag contained a small bottle of Crown Royal, which in turn contained cremated remains.
The owner of the bottle is “very upset,” police say, as the ashes belong to a loved one.
