London's Civic Works Committee recommended approving a plan to make Dundas Street a little better for pedestrians at a meeting on Tuesday night.
They will recommend council proceed with the $16-million plan to turn a section of the street into a pedestrian friendly walkway.
It would be from Wellington to the forks of the Thames and would be renamed Dundas Place.
The investment would go to improving underground utilities.
The plan will go before the finance committee on Thursday, to see if they can get started this year.
