Residents in the area of a controversial wind turbine in south Port Elgin have been informed by letter that it's about to begin operation.
Saugeen Shores deputy mayor Luke Charbonneau says the letter states that full operation of the turbine is anticipated to start next Monday.
However, there is a commissioning process and Charbonneau says the letter states that means the turbine could be operating sometime this week.
Charbonneau says the letter spells out a complaint protocol to neighbouring residents and the operator is bound to forward any complaints to the environment ministry within two business days.
