TORONTO - Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak is flatly dismissing calls from within the party for a review of his leadership.

Two members of the PC caucus have openly supported some grassroots Tories who have called for a leadership review during a policy conference in London next month.

Hudak says he got over 78 per cent support during a leadership review after the Tories lost the 2011 election, and he won't agree to change the party's constitution to allow for another vote in September.

He says the Tories have two choices: fight among themselves or actually get together as a team and fight side-by-side to defeat the Liberals in the next election.

Party insiders started grumbling again about Hudak's leadership after the Conservatives took only one of five Liberal seats up for grabs in the Aug. 1 byelections.

Hudak says Tories should neither be thrilled with the byelection results nor despondent, noting they increased their vote count in most ridings and won their first seat in Toronto since 1999.
