The sound of air brakes coming from a tractor-trailer spooked a horse, leading to injuries for two teens, police say.

According to Grey County OPP, the 19-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were riding in a buggy on Southgate Road 26 near Dundalk Thursday morning, when the truck turned onto the same road.

Police say the scared horse ran into the ditch, causing the buggy to roll over.

Both teens were taken to hospital.

Their injuries are described as not being life threatening.

Police say the horse was not hurt.
