Grey OPP say one person is dead and another in critical condition following a crash involving a van and horse-drawn carriage Sunday morning.
Police say it happened on Highway 10 between Road 180 and Road 190 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, north of Dundalk.
The carriage was carrying nine people when it collided with the van about 9:30 a.m. A five-year-old child was pronounced dead and a female was airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries. Ornge Ambulance said the critically injured person is 25.
Six other people were taken to hospital.
The two occupants in the van suffered minor injuries.
