London police say they have charged a 17-year-old male with a pellet gun with weapons-related charges.

Officers responded to the area of Commissioners Road East and Deveron Crescent at about 10 a.m. on Sunday for a report of  a male carrying a gun.

Police say they found the teen, who was in possession of a pellet gun.

He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a firearm or ammunition.

No one sustained any injuries as a result of this incident.

Police are reminding the public that all firearms, whether real or replicas, pose a significant threat to community safety. When police respond to any call involving a weapon, the weapon will be treated as real until the investigation can determine otherwise.
