'Two points of origin': Fire at boarded-up home in west London deemed suspicious
A fire that ripped through a boarded-up home in west London Monday afternoon has been deemed suspicious.
Fire crews were called to an address on Commissioners Road West, just west of Wonderland Road over the noon hour.
A fire official tells CTV News a structure fire was fully involved when they arrived.
The vacant home is situated on a deep lot on a busy portion of Commissioners Road West. A commercial real estate sign at the roadway indicates the property is slated for redevelopment.

No-one was found on the property at the time of the fire, says District Chief Dave Robb.
“Arrived on scene to heavy smoke in the area, and we had flames coming through a portion of the roof of this vacant house. Access to the house was difficult to begin with, it was all boarded up. Once we gained access, we were able to knock the fire down from the outside, and make an interior attack, and get to the scene of the fire and get the rest of the fire out,” said Dist. Chief Robb.
Dist. Chief Robb says because the home has been vacant and unliveable, it’s difficult to place a value on the damage. He says the cause is still under investigation.
“We had two points of origin, which deemed it somewhat suspicious. Second floor and main floor both had fires,” he explained.
