A 17-year-old teen from St. Thomas is in critical condition following a single-vehicle collision on the Oneida of the Thames First Nation reserve.
Middlesex OPP say that a 19-year-old male driver, also from St. Thomas, is facing charges as a result of an investigation into the crash.
According to police a car struck a hydro pole on Ball Park Road early Sunday morning.
The female passenger was ejected from the car and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. She remains listed in critical condition.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. OPP say the driver is alleged to have been impaired.
He now faces charges of driving while impaired causing bodily harm and failing to provide a breath sample.
The male was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.
