Provincial police are searching for a suspect after a robbery at the Royal Bank branch on Main Street East in Otterville.

Police were called to the bank in the village about 15 kilometres northeast of Tillsonburg at 1:30 p.m. Friday for a report of a robbery.

An investigation found that a man had entered the bank and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was seen and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'6" to 6' tall, 55-65 years old, heavy set with a white beard. He was last seen wearing a dark vinyl jacket, white v-neck t-shirt, blue jeans and clear gloves.

Anyone who sees a person matching the description is asked to call 911.

The West Region Canine Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, OPP Forensic Identification Unit and the Oxford Criminal Investigation Unit were called in to assist with the investigation.
