Police have apprehended an trespasser prowler, months after issuing a crime alert for several London neighbourhoods.
In July, London police say they issued a crime alert notice for residents living near Western University and King’s College. The alert was issued after receiving several reports of an individual allegedly peering through bathroom and bedroom windows with a small camera.
At the time, no description was available.
On Monday, a 49-year-old man was arrested by a London police canine unit in the area of Richmond Street and Cheapside Street, in connection to a trespass by night investigation. A search warrant was then issued at the suspect’s southeast London home.
Walter Figueiredo is charged with six counts of trespass by night. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
The investigation is ongoing.
