Lambton OPP arrest U.S. citizen for possessing concealed, loaded weapon

Lambton OPP have charged an elderly American man following an incident in Forest.

On Tuesday Feb. 23, around 2:30 p.m., police were called to the area of King Street in Forest about a man in possession of a firearm.

Police located the suspect in a parked vehicle and discovered a loaded, concealed, prohibited firearm.

Police say it was a Smith and Wesson, 5 shot, Lady Smith revolver.

The 85 year old suspect from Idaho has been charged with:

• Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

• Carrying Concealed Weapon

• Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition

The accused has an April court date to answer to the charges.
