St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation has received an anonymous $2 million donation from a local community member.

“We are humbled at receiving such a unique and generous gift,” said Michelle Campbell, president and CEO of St. Joseph’s Heath Care Foundation.

“A gift of this magnitude will have a remarkable impact on the care excellence the hospital can provide.”

The only request from the mystery donor was that the money is used for the highest and best patient care.

“Philanthropy plays such a critical role in our ability to provide exceptional care to our community,” said Roy Butler, hospital president and CEO.

“So much more can be enabled in care on the front line as a result of donor gifts, and this one is an enormous opportunity for us to do that at St. Joseph’s.”

According to Campbell, anonymous gifts don’t come often. However, she said it’s one of the purest forms of generosity possible.
