London fire crews remain at a large apartment fire in northeast London.
Emergency crews were called to Adelaide Gardens at 869 Adelaide Street North just before 6 a.m. Saturday for a blaze on the north-east side of the building.
A tenant and a firefighter were sent to hospital with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, residents of a nearby apartment building at 871 Adelaide Street were evacuated as a precaution.
Police have shut down Adelaide from St. James Street to Cheapside as crews continue to deal with the situation.
A temporary releif centre has been formed at Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre in order to aid any residents.
Community agencies will be on site and will provide assistance with temporary lodging and other immediate needs.
Over 100 people are currently displaced because of the blaze.
There's no word on a cause, the Ontario Fire Marshal's office will assist with the investigation.
Early damage estimates are currently at $1,000,000+.
