32-year-old Central Huron resident dies in crash
OPP say a 32-year-old Central Huron resident has died after a two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Huron East.
Just after 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, members of the Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services, and North Huron Fire Department responded to a collision on Blyth Road near Hensall Road in Huron East.
Upon arrival, emergency services located the involved vehicles; an SUV and a truck hauling a cattle trailer. Police say the lone driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver was not injured. Neither vehicle had passengers on board.
Police say several cattle needed to be put down at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision.
The cause of the collision is being investigated.
Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team are at the scene to assist with the collision investigation. Blyth Road (County Road 25) is closed between North Line and Turnbull Line for the investigation and will remain closed for several hours.
