Grey County OPP have arrested and charged a personal support worker with theft after money was reported missing from elderly residents’ belongings at Grey Gables.
Darcie Seddon, 37, of Dundalk, has been charged with theft under $5,000.
After numerous reports of missing money over several months at the Markdale, Ont. long-term care facility, police placed a surveillance camera in a room that had been previously targeted.
Around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, police say the personal support worker was observed entering the room and taking a $20 bill from the resident’s wallet.
She was arrested later that day.
Seddon is scheduled to appear in an Owen Sound court on May 16th.
