Three people are facing charges after police in Woodstock were called to a dispute involving a weapon in the city at Wellington and Dundas Streets.

Officers reponded to the area on Thursday and say they found a man and woman at the scene, with the woman in possession of a prohibited knife.

The male and female were arrested and taken to police headquarters, and a third person believed to be involved was located a short time later.

Cory Gigault, 33, of Woodstock has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failing to comply with probation order and assault with a weapon.

Thomas Payne, 35, of Woodstock is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both males have been held for a bail hearing at Woodstock court.

Brittany Kearley, 24, also of Woodstock is charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon and was released pending her appearnce in a Woodstock court.
