A Woodstock pharmacist who was charged in June with trafficking of prescription narcotics is now facing more charges.

Police say Yogesh Patel, 46, who lives in Kitchener, was taken to the Oxford County Courthouse Wednesday and charged with utter forged document, fraud over $5,000, theft over $5,000, theft under $5,000, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The street value of the prescription narcotics believed to be fraudulently obtained and stolen throughout this investigation is estimated to be $1.2 million.

In June, police seized fentanyl, hydromorphone, morphine, nabilone and oxycodone. They also charged two other Woodstock residents with trafficking in connection with this case.
