Woodstock man charged after shovel allegedly used as weapon

Police have charged a 43-year-old Woodstock man after another male was struck with a shovel on Sunday.
Officers were called to the area of George Street and Victoria Street just before 9 p.m. where they found a male with injuries to his arm.
He was transported to hospital by Oxford EMS for treatment.
Following an investigation, Woodstock police found there had been an altercation during with the injured male was struck with a shovel.
As a result, Dean Truscott has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of probation.
He was being held pending a bail hearing.
