A minute of silence was being held at Toronto's Woodbine Racetrack Thursday night in honour of 43 horses killed in a barn fire in southern Ontario this week.

It's part of a tribute that also will feature a video presentation about the horses lost in Monday night's fire in Puslinch, near Guelph.

Flags at the racetrack will be flown at half-mast tonight through to the conclusion of the Saturday night racing program.

An investigation continues into the cause of the fire, which has devastated members of the horse-racing community throughout the province.
