A 26-year-old woman is facing numerous charges after a bogus drug deal and a joyride through London on Sunday morning.

Police allege Ashley Gregory met up with a 43-year-old woman at a parking lot at Dundas and Wavell Streets for a drug sale around 11:30 a.m.

However, Gregory allegedly took the woman’s money without providing the drugs and then drove away.

As she drove, police say Gregory struck a vehicle without stopping and later collided with hedges and a tree at home on nearby Royal Crescent.

There were no injuries and both Gregory and her passenger, 31-year-old Aimee Cantin of London, apparently fled on foot.

Police say Cantin later called claiming she was the driver who had been involved in the collisions.

Cantin has been charged with misleading police.

Ashley Gregory, of no fixed address, is facing nine charges including; dangerous driving, three counts of breach of recognizance, breach of probation, theft under $5,000, assault, driving while disqualified and leaving the scene of an accident.
